(PRESS RELEASE) --
LVbet is proud to announce that is an official sponsor of Eurovolley Poland 2017, the Men's European Volleyball Championships. One of the biggest sporting events of 2017, it will be held in Poland from 24 August until 3 September. LVbet's ambassador for the event will be Krzysztof Ignaczak, a legend of the Polish national team.
As one of the fastest-growing sports betting brands, LVbet has continually demonstrated a passion for supporting both national and local sports clubs and athletes across Europe. LVbet is heavily involved in supporting Polish football, being the main sponsor of Ektraklasa club Wisla — with the LVbet logo proudly worn on the team's shirts — and official betting partner and sponsor of the hugely popular Liga 3 football club Widzew Lódz, who are currently experiencing sell-out crowds (record season tickets sales twice in one year). LVbet has also supported MMA events and sponsored the high-profile Kölner Haie ice hockey team in Germany. Being involved with Eurovolley Poland 2017 will open an exciting new chapter in the LVbet story, and help promote the brand to new markets.
LVbet's ambassador, Krzysztof Ignaczak, is not only a world and European champion, but also one of the most charismatic figures in the sport. After retiring from the professional game earlier this year, he has since become a familiar sight as a volleyball expert on sports TV. He will also be commentating at Eurovolley Poland 2017.
Volleyball is one of Poland's most popular sports, making it the perfect location for the 2017 championships. LVbet hopes that, by helping to make it an unforgettable experience, it will showcase this increasingly popular sport to Europe and the world.
LVbet CEO Marcin Sapinski underlined how special the event is, saying, "Volleyball is hugely popular across many European markets, so we're delighted to be supporting an event that will give so much enjoyment to so many fans. LVbet's customers can look forward to lots of great offers and promotions, and maybe we can even introduce some new people to the sport, which would be brilliant!"
Eurovolley Poland 2017 starts on 24 August. Poland will host 16 of the best European teams, with Poland, Russia and France being favorites. In all, 40 volleyball matches will be held in five cities, with the opening match alone expected to be watched by more than 50,000 spectators.
LVbet's sponsorship of the European Volleyball Championships will include a TV and digital campaign, starting in the middle of August, and will feature a range of promotional competitions with exciting prizes, including tickets for the opening match.
