Interpoker enters bidding for Eastgate bracelet

23 November 2010

VIENNA, Austria -- (PRESS RELEASE) –- InterPoker is entering the bidding for the iconic World Series of Poker winner's bracelet, won by the legendary Peter Eastgate, to keep it in the world of poker and stop TonyG from making a mockery of the game's most iconic prize.

International poker player TonyG wants to buy the bracelet to use as a collar for his dog, so InterPoker have offered to buy him a Swarovski crystal encrusted doggie jacket to give his dog some bling rather than let him get his hands on the WSOP Main Event bracelet that he has so far proved incapable of winning.

A spokesperson for InterPoker.com said: "The entire poker community should feel insulted by Tony G's reasons for wanting the bracelet and InterPoker will do everything it can to prevent him winning. InterPoker wants to give the bracelet the respect it deserves by offering it as a prize for the InterPoker.com Champion of Champions event in 2011 and keep the bracelet within the poker community."

The last bid entered by InterPoker.com was $50,000. InterPoker.com is one of the fastest growing online poker sites in the world. Opened in 2002, it has quickly become the poker room of choice for the discerning online poker player.

Half the people that will be chosen for the Champion of Champions event will be selected from the InterPoker "Hall of Fame" users over the last eight years and the other half will be chosen from the winner of a number of satellite games held over the next six months.
