888.com reports good start for 2008

LONDON, England -- As reported by Reuters: "Online gaming firm 888 said on Tuesday 2008 had started well and it was confident about its prospects as it posted 2007 profits in line with analysts' expectations.

"888, which runs the Pacific Poker and Foxy bingo Web sites, reported a full year pretax profit of $46 million, with net gaming revenue from its casino games sites up 33 percent to $118 million and up 18 percent from its poker sites to $81 million..."
